Our Story

The original idea behind real life bricks® was simple; toys should represent the diversity of the actual world. With a love of education, family, and telling stories, we decided to create customized minifigures that would assist in building worlds for children where everyone had a place.

Starting out as a family-based venture we have expanded our brand to support families, teachers, collectors and customers who wish to purchase gifts that promote imaginative Play and positive representations. Each of our collections is produced with care, imagination and with a desire to provide opportunities for imaginative Play through inclusiveness for children worldwide.

Our Mission

Our mission is to use creative and imaginative Play to encourage children through the development of custom lego compatible minifigures that recognize diversity, representation and creativity. We feel that every Child should have access to toys that encourage self-confidence, curiosity, empathy and meaningful storytelling while demonstrating how beautiful real communities are.

Our Vision

We envision a world where children globally can build stories that depict the world that surrounds them. Using inclusive designs and imaginative/educational Play we aspire to stimulate creativity, generate interconnections and cultivate the next generations appreciation of the uniques characteristics of every individual.

All of our custom minifigures were created to celebrate the diversity of families, cultures, occupations and communities. Children build stories using minifigures that are inspired by reality. Therefore they build stories that are genuine, relevant and open to everyone.

Learning from Imaginative Play

Imaginative Play is a means by which children develop their creativity, communication skills, empathy and problem solving skills. All of our products offer children an environment to try new ideas, tell their own stories and to realize the benefits of understanding different viewpoints.

Meet the Creator of Real Life Bricks®

Real life bricks was established by Giselle Fuerte (children's author) who is also an educator. Her passion for inclusive learning is what drove her Vision for developing a company that utilizes storytelling, imagination and representation through the production of custom brick-compatible minifigures.


With her family giselle continues to help children find pleasure in building, learning and honoring the various communities throughout this amazing world.
